Jeff has 23 years of manufacturing and business improvement experience in various leadership roles. In his current position at Deere & Company as Factory Advisor, he provides guidance and coaching for the Turf & Utility and Hay & Forage product factories. He is also responsible for the development of a company-wide lean manufacturing strategy to be deployed across all of its global factories and integrated into the John Deere Quality and Production System.
Prior to this role, Jeff was responsible for developing product complexity management strategies to meet customer needs while reducing variability and waste through simplification and commonality in the product offering and product design.
Before joining John Deere in 2006, Jeff worked for Alcoa Inc. for 15 years in Davenport (Iowa), Hungary and Switzerland. He held positions in various areas including Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Production Planning, Supply Management and Financial Planning and Analysis. He was a teacher of the Alcoa (Lean) University and led many projects to improve process to process connections within the factory and with external business partners.
Jeff has a BS degree in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University, an MBA from the University of Iowa and is APICS CPIM certified.
