Do you want to be part of an exciting, creative team that works to improve and strengthen the Iowa Lean Consortium? The ILC Board of Directors has established three teams to further the mission and goals of the Iowa Lean Consortium and to broaden participation from our membership. The ILC Board is seeking volunteers and encourages qualified and interested ILC members to nominate themselves for any team.
The events team is looking for members to assist with workshops and events. This team is tasked with organizing and assisting in workshops and training events. Functions of this team will be to: determine suitable trainers and assistants, determine appropriate material, establish dates and times, organize and facilitate the workshop or training, and ensure follow-up as appropriate.
The marketing team is looking for active members. We can use your volunteer help, especially if you have expertise in 1) website maintenance, 2) social media, 3) media relations, 4) development of collateral materials, 5) newsletter development, 6) developing and executing a marketing plan.
The ILC membership team is focused on sustainability of current members and growing the ILC through new member recruitment. This team works to identify current member needs and to help members understand their membership benefits while identifying potential members and making others aware of the ILC and all it has offer.
At least one ILC Board member serves on each team to create a link to Board strategies. Teams will plan at least one (maybe two) face-to-face or virtual meetings and then periodically via conference call to check-in. For interested parties, this is a chance to help fulfill the ILC mission of offering a diverse network to share innovative practices ensuring sustainable competitive advantage in Iowa, to fulfill the ILC Vision of: Drive competitive performance improvements by expanding Lean culture and sharing lessons learned.
