Host an Event

We are always seeking hosts for events. This helps member organizations that host by providing a variety of benefits, and helps us keep costs low. Please follow the instructions below if your organization is interested in hosting an ILC event.

When possible, we like to host our learning opportunities at member organizations. Doing this helps us keeps the costs low for attendees and provides many great benefits for the host organization. When your organization hosts an event your organization will receive the right to reserve 25% of the seats at the event and a 25% discount on those seats for paid events.

The ILC team does most of the heavy lifting for the event. We take care of registration, marketing, name tags, copies, food etc. We just need you to provide the space and possibly some AV if it is available. We can often bring our own projector, flip charts, markers. etc. We will ask your team to help with parking instructions and food recommendations based on vendors your team typically uses. Your organization will also have the opportunity to welcome attendees and talk briefly about your organization.

There are also many other great benefits as outlined by members who have hosted events for us:

Airlite Plastics is proud of being a member of ILC – and thankful for the benefits of membership. We have enjoyed a wide range of lean learning opportunities with regular frequency. Airlite has hosted lean coffees in Omaha, hosted a lean ‘daily management system’ workshop with participants from across the region and is co-hosting a workshop with our local community college, ILC, and Tracey and Ernie Richardson. We have enjoyed and benefited from these events because they are relevant, timely, and make a difference to our business. Further, hosting an event is a SNAP with the professional staff of ILC. They do the hard work and get the word out. Come and join our network and host an ILC event! We want to learn from you too!

-Jesse DePriest, Airlite Plastics

While hosting an event, another manufacturing company saw our processes and offered a suggestion that would greatly reduce our cycle time. They invited us to their plant to see how they did a similar process and now we are pursuing getting the same equipment.

-Megan Brunssen, Trinity Structural Towers

We have hosted multiple events with the ILC. The ILC has great standard work developed to make logistics so easy. There can’t be enough said for the value of bringing outside eyes into your facility. At our most recent Lean Safety event, the ILC members pointed out things to us that we had been walking by every day. We look forward to hosting more events in the future and encourage everyone else to do the same!

- Kim Nelson, Cardinal Class

Hosting several tours, a few Lean Coffees, & training events for the ILC over the past 4 years has been made simple & delivered a very high rate of return for us at B&G, Tones facility! They handle almost all of the heavy lifting & behind the scenes leg work, while we benefited from cross functional teams working on/ giving us feedback on improving our in-house processes & culture. We also increased our networking abilities for “Sharing of Best Plant Practices”, trips to other ILC members locations in learning to see & implementing some of the great things they are doing! We have received a lot of bang for our buck from the help & support of the ILC & its members on our Lean Journey toward True North’, because we have chosen a path to dive in & engaged to maximize our ROI.
